Hot New Trend: Table Runners Table runners are all the rage right now, from those wanting to customize their estate tables with an extra added touch of elegance to those on a budget seeking an alternative to the traditional square overlay for their round tables. Runners can be used in several ways to add a new dimension to table decoration. A traditional approach is to have a single table runner down the center of a rectangular table. If you are using a round table, two runners can be crossed in the middle. These can be placed directly on the table, if it is a surface you want to show off, or over a tablecloth for added texture and/or color. Another option is to place a runner down each side of a rectangular table. Place settings are then set along the runners. Don't forget to finish the head and foot of the table with a placemat. At Tabletoppers, most of our runners are 100" long by 15" wide. They have either square ends or pointed ends, depending on the fabric. Table runners look great either hanging off the ends of shorter tables or with the whole runner laying on top of longer tables. If you are interested in using table runners for your next event and you don't see them available in your fabric choice, just ask. We'll be happy to make them for you if possible. A burlap table runner overlaid with a runner of new leaf meadow, adds texture and interest to the celery pintuck tablecloth. Flocked Vienna table runners add a touch of elegance and contrast to the black satin tablecloth on this estate table. Email to a friend * required fields From * To * Message (Optional)
